Right now I work for the internet solutions company ISOCNET. In the past I also did several other outsourcing jobs,
including medical illustration
and graphic design for music-related promotional material.
I have been in the field of professional internet development since 1996.
I can do just about everything when it comes to the web, from multimedia interfaces to database design.
I am currently working on the design and programming of intranets and other
internet-related projects involving more specific audiences and browsers.
In the past I was developing an e-business, accounting, and content
management solution called Xact Commerce.
These days I do mostly site design for a firm called ISOCNET.
I've completely designed and coded (unless otherwise noted) the following web sites:
* Off-line
Navigation Design / Other Designers Involved
Non-Functioning Prototype
* E-commerce sites have shopping carts, inventory management, and order tracking.
* Flash sites are sites completely built in Macromedia Flash.
* Content managed sites allow logged in users to manage all navigation hierarchy, text and images contained on the site.
Also, there are several other sites I have designed over the past 6 years that have gone off line that I do not
have copies of, or am not allowed to show on this site.
I build graphics and logos, I do web site layout,
interactive animation, audio design, construction, maintenance,
database design, and I know several web programming languages.
I am familiar with cross-browser Dynamic HTML,
Visual Basic for ASP.NET, VBScript for ASP,
XML and Java XML interface modules,
SQL (mostly experienced in Sybase's Adaptive Anywhere Server and PostgreSQL),
Java Servlets (running with Tomcat and Apache),
XML and Java XML interface modules,
SQL (mostly experienced in Sybase's Adaptive Anywhere Server and PostgreSQL),
JavaScript 1.4,
Flash 8,
Director 8 and Shockwave/Lingo,
Dynamic Fonts incorporated with Bitstream's TrueDoc, (this whole site
uses dynamic fonts),
Sybase Powerdynamo/Dynascript (running with MS Internet Information
Server),
a small amount of PERL,
and PHP.
I've also written an entire accounting program that runs over the web (via HTML and Javasript)
called Xact Commerce in Java Servlets and SQL.
When it comes to graphics, I have a large amount of experience in Adobe Photoshop
(I have been using it since version 1.0 back in high school), Illustrator,
After Effects, Premier, Painter.
I am familiar with 3D modeling and animation and have a decent understanding of the following
3D programs: Cinema 4-D,
3D Studio MAX r5, Strata Studio Pro, Extreme 3D, Specular Texturescape and
Infini-D, and Bryce 4.
I also know Flash MX, Director 8 and Authorware 3 for multimedia
programming for the web and CD ROMS. I am always investigating new
software as it comes out.
I am used to both Mac and Windows platforms, and am very comfortable
working in either one. I can also get around Linux (command prompt and
x-windows), but not good enough to install software or do high end
administration.
I don't think this site is by any means an example of
my complete skills, especially since I designed it in 1996.
You should probably check
out a few of the sites listed above to see that. I
just don't have the time to put any sort of complex Shockwave or Flash
movie in here and not get paid for it. I prefer to let my actual work portray the skills I have, rather
than spend a lot of time on a personal site.
